Rockaway Glass

Rockaway Taco, A Selby Film from the selby on Vimeo.

There are not many cities in the world were you can you can jump on the subway to catch a ride to the beach! Its a shame it gets so bloody cold in the winter in NY. Enjoy the video.

Pete's VDub

Pete's VDub
There's not much room to sleep let alone sit in Pete's van for all his toys. Although both have a few miles on the clock theres no stopping them whizzing up and down the country lanes in search of fun and adventure with friends.

Japanese sauce

This fella just had to come home from the supermarket.
Not sure where he's from, maybe Japan. Cute and clever use of the shrink wrap and the label on the lid though.

Alan Macdonald paintings

Alan Macdonald's oil paintings are great.
The strange and uncomfortable mix of 17th century portrait style
and modern packaging just seems to work.

Where has this year gone?

This year has flown by! Not wishing it to be over but I'm looking forward to seeing some of Specialized 2011 offerings in the flesh.
The Stumpjumper fsr EVO looks ready to rip straight from the get go. Its taken a while but its good to see a bike company taking note to how their customers have been
customising stock bikes.

Far from the Madding Crowd

Its amazing how an unusual angle of well know beach can light your imagination.

Bent Metal

I had been after an Asian style BBQ grill for ages and happened to find this one
for only $30 in Maroubra. For such simple grill it burns really well and uses very little charcoal. Looking forward to smoking out the neighbourhood on a regular basis.

Laurie's traveller

Laurie's traveller
Bought new and drove daily for decades, the distinctive exhaust would break the Sunday morning silence as they headed off to the sailing club. Laurie's hand built mirror would easily sit on top waiting to be launched on the Medway.

Concrete destroyer

Laurie still skates these days but his attack on the urban landscape has mellowed with age.
Although more relaxed in his approach the energy and skill of years pasted
is still be to witnessed.

The view from above

Its always a joy to go and work with the guys in North Sydney. Great people, fun projects, amazing views!

Blueberry Fanta

This can of Blueberry Fanta certainly stood out on in the chiller.
It looked just radioactive, I would hate to think about the amount of colouring and e numbers in the drink. Photo Will Sherman

Spring clean

Retro cool is all the rage in Sydney at the moment, it seems even
cleaners are jumping on the band wagon.

Noel's FJ40

Adventures Together 1
Noel's Landcruiser
This is the first of few car and boat pairings I have drawn.
It been fun trying to match the car to the style of boat, Imagining what kind of adventures they would get up too together. I think the combination of the Toyota Landcruiser and fishing tinnie is an all time classic. Each illustration has a personal significance, the car and boat having been owned by myself, a friend or my family. Noel owned an short wheeled FJ40 while living up in Queensland. As he worked for the council the car doubled as the town hearse.

Hello Kitty candy

I would have liked to seen the design brief for this all singing and dancing Hello Kitty candy. Hours of entertainment for any candy loving Hello Kitty fan.

Crackers

I have not idea why she is looking so grumpy as the crackers were bloody tasty.
Its no often you can get excited about a crisp pack but the quality of the print, spot varnish and substrate is one the best I've seen in a while. Western snack brands should take note and step up their game.

Shack life

Shacks and cabins are pretty cool, they are like big cubby houses for grown ups!
It would be great to have a cedar planked shack hidden away up the coast.
This is an article from the weekend australian magazine awhile back by Rose Bilton on Matt Newton's book all about shacks. for more on the book and Matt

Back to the future

Its amazing what you can find tucked away in cardboards. We were having a bit of a tidy up at the beach house when we came across these pretty cool 'vintage' Hunters meths, turps and kerosine bottles. photo will sherman

Apple Bondi

Pretty good location for the new Apple store in Sydney beats going down to grumby George street to hang with the Apple nerds rubbing their ipads. Not sure about the ipad, I suppose if you only surf the net its pretty good, kinda pricy though!

Who says Coogee doesn't get surf!

It was a shame we were up the coast scoring uncrowded waves to witness the biggest surf this winter season awaken the usually surf lacking Coogee .

Crystal Head Vodka

My friend Amy sent me this link to Crystal Head Vodka, at first I thought it was a piss take and to be honest I still can not take it seriously.
I'm sure its not the best tasting vodka in the world but the glass skull bottle looks cheesy cool!
Dan Aykroyd does an awesome job selling it in, to check out Dan's video and more on

Doesn't time whizz by!
