Vaseline

Vaseline has done a great job updating their pack. I think it keeps all the visual appeal of the original with added benefit of a flip top and modernity of translucent plastic.

Bone Shaker

Bone Shaker is a really nice put together celebration of cycling. I love bikes and riding but where did all these poncy cycling aficionados come from on their vintage inspired single speeds because they weren't rolling around the roads or woods back in the day. 'Keeping it real' Pfff... get real, put brakes and gears on your bike and you'll have heaps more fun.

Dust & Gravel

You're assaulted by the roar of WRC cars well before they cover you in dust and gravel.

What does the 'S' stand for?

Well you would think the 'S' would stand for sport.
The lines are of the Honda Jazz VTI-S are sharp and styling futuristic but the handling is definitely retro for a modern hatch.
I'm not sure if Honda Australia have messed with the driving dynamics but the 40kgs of concrete in the boot some what even out the driving experience.
Maybe the 'S' stands for spongy.

The Death Star of the printer world

The Brother MFC-J6710DW multi function printer destroys any printers in its path.
This multi media battle station can scan A3 and even
print double sided automatically.

Ready about, Lee ho

This fantastic little book stood out of the sea of books in Gould's Book Arcade, with
awesome 'boy's own' illustrations had to be bought.

Plug it

There are not many occasions when you spend a large wedge of cash and then
take a drill to your purchase.
There has got to be a better way of attaching a leash plug to a bodyboard!

Man can 3

If Redbull is a little too clean cut for you Monster is the energy boost for you. Monster extra strength super dry actually tastes not bad for a 'energy drink'. Supposedly its injected with nitrous oxide for a bigger buzz. The closure is pretty clever if slightly over engineered for a drinks can. You rotate the plastic tab to open, it also gives you the option to reclose the can.

Retro reupholstery

If knitting and sewing is the new rock and roll, upholstery must be the new punk rock.

Gillette Fusion Proglide

I think its first time I've seen molded pulp used by a major brand. Credit to P&G to moving away from the dreaded plastic blister. Great colour and surface finish.

Rodda's Clotted Cream

Rodda's great new look makes me want to scoff a proper cream tea then wash it down with suitably strong pot of tea. Its just not right to have scones and jam without real clotted cream.

Fast Fords

If the 9 million plus views of Ken Block and his 600hp Fiesta in Gymkhana four are anything to go by there is definitely a massive interest in a ford with more oomph under the bonnet. The current Focus RS is an awesome car but Ford need to have a consistent hot hatch offer that drivers can buy into year after year. VW has successfully keep the GTI badge alive for decades, ford the other has rolled out the odd hot hatch here and there. Boost the BHP & torque, lose the teenage interior, don't let local market mess with the driving dynamics and they will be onto a winner.

KitKat Cookies & Cream

KitKat bars are addictive, it was a shame when they lost the ritual of foil and paper wrapping on the original bar. This Cookies & Cream chunky version tasted pretty good.

A frame grab from my bodged together Gopro camera wrist mount. I think I might have to
upgrade to the HD Gopro to improve the image quality.

Fern Tree House

Happened across this cool mountain house while flicking through Houses magazine issue #74.
It would great to build a house from scratch.

Method Baby bubbly bath

This bubbly bath from Method has much character.
The little fella's kinda reminds me of Arabia tableware and even Oliver Postgate and Peter Firmin's characters such as Bagpuss.

The Knobble II

The Knobble II kinda looks like a giant plastic nibble, but don't let that distract you. The form makes it easy to apply focused pressure on
sore trigger points.

Mr Brown

Coffee connoisseurs would probably be disgusted with Mr Brown and his peers
but I've become quite fond of coffee from a can over ice since visiting Japan.

I walked pass this master piece of jacking awhile back on the way up the hill.
It turns out they were craning in modules of a house
featured on Grand Design Australia.

Great photo sick move!

Pearl Royal

I've never seen such an over packaged drink, though gotta say it looked awesome
on shelf and tasted pretty good too!

Man Can 2

710ml, 99.40grams of sugar, 227.20mg of caffeine, 2840.00mg of taurine.
'Consume no more than 500ml per day' I would say, thats
a probably good idea!

Surf Pump

Its been pumping on and off the last couple weeks.
The wind was a bit off for this spot but at least we didn't have any crowds to content with.

Marlboro Country Store

Smoking is a pretty self destructive habit but if you're gotta light up you might as well look cool as a cowboy. I never heard anyone actually use 'howdy' as greeting until I stayed with friends in the Tetons in Wyoming, proper cowboy country.

Movement Photo Annual

I remember reading Annuals as a kid. Pouring over the pages of 2000AD bound between hard covers made it feel pretty special. Movement magazine's latest offering is pretty special too, jammed packed full of amazing photography of waves that you'll hope to ride or even witness someday.

I love magazines

Its true, I love magazines.
Don't get me wrong I think the web is great the latest info on your chosen subject but nothing beats flicking through the latest edition of your favourite mag. Of late I've become a fan of Spoke magazine, it has a National Geographic feel to its photos. What really has pushed this publication ahead of the competition is the quality of writing and creative thought put into its layout.
