Hydrodynamic Planing Hulls

I read an article in the surf magazine Surfer's Journal quite a few months back and became totally intrigued by these strange looking boards with unusual proportions, flat square tails and twin wooden keels. It amazing that the fresh ideas present here where invent over 50 years ago by Bob Simmons a Legendary surfer who often credited as being the father of the modern surfboard. What's exciting that these boards have inspired many to develop his concept and take a step away from today's 'modern' pointy three finned surfboard to try something different. What also caught my eye was how close this style of board looked like a bodyboard, maybe sometime in the future we'll be all riding the same board but in different stances?!
